Lawn Core Aeration Service Fraser Valley & Lower Mainland

Aerate Your Lawn To Promote A Healthy Root System.
We specialize in core aerating large lawns and grassy areas.

Do you own or manage a commercial property or residential housing developing such as a condo or townhome with large grassy and lawn areas?  Do you value the appearance of a vibrant, healthy looking, lush, green lawn?  There are many different steps and processes required to achieve that beautiful lawn you want.  Core aeration or lawn aeration is one of those important steps.

Aerating your lawn is required because over time grass can grow really thick and when you add in the lawn trimmings from cuttings and the natural lawn thatch (criss crossing of grass near it’s base) you begin to starve the soil and roots below of much needed nutrients, especially Oxygen.  Aerating your lawn, helps counter this effect and keeps your soil healthy, in turn your grass can breathe and develop a healthy and robust root system.   This translates in beautiful lush growth.

All Seasons Landscaping is a full service lawn care and landscape maintenance company serving the Fraser Valley and the Lower Mainland.  We specialize in aerating lawns as a stand alone service or as part of a regular annual lawn maintenance program.  We work with commercial property owners and managers who have large, high visibility lawns to maintain.

What Exactly Is Lawn Aeration?

The lawn aeration process involves using a specialized machine that perforates your soil with hundreds of small holes.  These small holes are what allows oxygen, water, and nutrients to penetrate directly to the grass root system.  As the machine punches holes into the lawn it creates “plugs” that are removed from the hole.  These plugs usually contain an inch or two of soil and are about 1/2″ to 3/4″ in diameter.

Aerating has long been a lawn care secret that golf courses and sports fields have employed for a long time because it really makes a difference, especially when it’s used as part of a total lawn care program.  Completed once or twice per year (it can depend on your property) aerating is very important.

Does My Lawn Really Need Aeration?

The short answer is yes, if you are serious about the health and appearance of your lawn.  The long answer is that it really depends on several factors.

  1. Does your lawn get heavy foot traffic?
  2. Do you let your grass clippings fall back onto the lawn?
  3. Was your lawn just recently installed?
  4. Does your lawn seem to dry out easily in the summer and not uptake water as it should?

If you’ve answer “yes” to any or all of those questions, these are all signs your lawn could benefit from aeration.  The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or early fall growing season when the roots can recover quickly and the growing grass can work to fill in all of the plugs of grass/soil that were removed during the aeration process.
